Miss Monochrome

Top - In Love With Fashion
Jeans - Topshop
Sandals - River Island
Sunglasses - Asos

I can't believe its Wednesday already, this week has flown by. It's a casual post today, this is a classic lazy weekend outfit for me. I love monochrome, theres something about a simple pairing of black and white and I think the gold jewellery just adds a bit more excitement. This is the sort of outfit that you just wake up and put on, it doesn't need any thought, which I think is sometimes nice. I told you how much i've fallen in love with Topshop's Joni jeans in my last post and they're still definitely my favourite pair of jeans. For this outfit, ive styled them very casually with my In Love With Fashion slogan top, which ive been wearing so much recently. My River Island cleated soled sandals are back in my life after all the pairs of sliders ive been wearing recently, although they've now got some tough competition from both my sliders and mules for my favourite shoe of the season. Having been a huge tomboy until the age of 15ish, I absolutely love to dress up now - im definitely making up for all the wasted time spent in trackies & hoodies.

After a long 6 weeks at my new job, I finally got my first pay today yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay, I can't tell you how long these past 6 weeks have felt. So I finally have some money to spend and im getting straight online now to do some shopping! Enjoy the rest of your week!

It's All White

Jeans - Topshop
Top - Topshop
Coat - Topshop
Sliders - Zara
Clutch - Zara (sold out)
Sunglasses - Asos

It's official! I have found my new staple jean! For years now, Topshops Leigh jeans have been my go to style. They fit like a glove and come in so many colours, I must have them in nearly every shade! But ever since I slipped on a pair on Joni's (by Topshop of course) I haven't taken them off. I loved them so much I bought them in black too. They're so high waisted they're really flattering - ive just been out for a 3 course meal and you would (almost) never know.

I thought id dedicate this post to the colour white, as it is a key trend this season and you really can't go wrong with it. So i'm wearing my new white Joni's, and this lace Topshop top which makes me feel ever so sophisticated for some reason, I think most lace has that effect. I bought this top whilst on a little shopping spree with my best friend last weekend. I love that it comes with a cami as i'm much more of a legs kind of girl and don't really like to wear see through tops, so that sealed the deal for me. As for the sliders, im officially obsessed. Since buying this pair ive bought yet another pair which ill feature in a post soon. If you follow me on instagram (@LauraCrickmer) you'll know that my slider obsession is becoming out of control! I dread to think how many pairs ill have by the time summer is over! Now this clutch has become somewhat of a blogger must have. I also picked it up in Zara last weekend, and ever since ive seen it all over instagram, so i'm sure it's going to be a bit hit this summer. The caption is 'stressed, but well dressed' and I love it! The only downside is that it gets a little grubby but thats nothing a little make up wipe can't fix!

Were back to a full week of work this week, but payday is Wednesday and it can't come soon enough. There's so much I need to add to my wardrobe. I'm thinking of investing in a new camera for my outfit pics so any suggestions would be appreciated; i've always used an iPhone so photography isn't my strong point! Have a lovely week!

Floral Fancy

Skirt - River Island
Jacket co-ord - River Island (not pictured)
Top - Miss Selfridge
Bomber - Topshop
Sandals - Missguided
Bag - Accessorize
Chain - Primark

Hello! I can't believe it's been over a week since I last blogged! It's been a busy week as over the bank holiday weekend I was reunited with my uni girls and we had a lovely day in London shopping and then had some drinks. It was so lovely to catch up, I can't believe we finished uni nearly a year ago. This time last year I was frantically trying to finish my dissertation and stressing out so I feel your pain if you're in the same position now! The relief you'll feel at the end makes it all worthwhile though.

Anyway, my outfit. I picked this skirt up in River Island a couple of weeks ago as I loved the print. It's so summery and I'm really into neutral colours at the moment. I should also mention that there is a matching jacket so it can be bought as a co-ord, but I thought I would style it with my bomber instead. Ive linked you to the jacket too just in case. I spotted the top in Miss Selfridge and thought it would compliment the skirt perfectly. The heels are a recent Missguided buy, and they go with literally anything. And then of course my trusted topshop bomber which I bought last year and didn't really wear but have lived in this year. So overall a good purchase id say.

I'm having a chilled weekend after a hectic few weeks of nights out and spending all my money, but it's payday next week (hallelujah) and I have my eye on loads of new bits so expect some new outfit posts soon! Until then happy Friday!

You'll Mule

Top - Primark
Jeans - Topshop
Coat - New Look
Mules - Zara
Belt - Mulberry

I hear you as clearly as I hear my mum everytime she answers the door to my latest delivery 'not ANOTHER pair of ugly shoes!' After pointing out that mules, sliders AND ankle straps are on the front cover of Grazia this week, shes starting to understand my obsession. I've never been one to follow trends religiously, there are certain things that I don't like and I know won't suit me (cargo pants im looking at you), but the ugly shoe trend has got me right where it wants me. Ive named this post 'you'll mule' because believe me you will! No matter what your current opinion is, go and try a pair on and you will be sold!

I have to admit that I am obsessed with just about every shoe that Zara is producing at the moment. From sliders to mules to strappy sandals for summer, I want just about every pair and i'm counting down the days til payday. These mules have been on my wishlist since the moment I saw them. They make a change from the usual heels that hurt your feet within a couple of hours of putting them on. Im hoping to wear them out this weekend so i'll let you know how they score on the comfort meter afterwoods. Boyfriend jeans have been firmly on the fashion radar for a while, I picked this 'MOM' style up in Topshop just before Christmas and they make a nice change from the classic skinny that's been my wardrobe staple for years now. The fluffy lilac top is from Primark, although again just before Christmas. The camel coat is one that ive rediscovered this year after buying it a few seasons back in New Look.

Ive got another exciting weekend coming up, with my best friend coming up to stay and a day and night of shopping and cocktails, plus another friends birthday night out PLUS it's a bank holiday weekend which means not one but TWO 4 day working weeks. Got to admit that after years of working bank holidays I sure don't miss working in retail!

So what's your opinion on mules? Are you loving or loathing all this seasons trends?

Slip & Slide

Top - Boohoo
Jeans - Topshop
Bomber - H&M
Sliders - Zara
Bag - River Island

Hello! Ive had such a good weekend! Yesterday one of my best mates from uni came down to stay and we had another friends birthday night out and we had such.a.good.time. It was so nice to catch up and I feel surprising fresh today considering the amount of Jagerbombs we consumed. My bank balance is not thanking me for it now though! It was really nice to let my hair down and have a good night out with my girls. Today has been lovely too! How nice is the weather! So ive spent the day at the park which has also been lovely. Ive also had a bit of a clear out this week and ummed and ahhd about selling some bits on eBay before realising how much hassle it is (lazy I know) so i'm sending it all down to the charity shop instead.

Now first things first, I love love love these Topshop Leigh jeans, but my god do they get grubby! Ive only worn them once and they had to be bleached. Still, I won't stop wearing them, i'll just have to be extra extra careful from now on. I bought the top from Boohoo last week, it just made me think of summer and I love the blue/yellow combination. At the moment were in that funny phase where you want to wear all your new summer clothes but without the big winter coat over the top. For that reason, I thought id style this outfit with a blue bomber jacket that i picked up from H&M quite a few years back. It's been sitting in my wardrobe but it's another one of those things that i'm glad I didnt get rid of. I think I have an obsession with sliders! Ive seen so many pairs that I need. I picked these up from Zara and they are just so comfortable! It feels so nice to be able to get your feet out again. I'm also obsessed with anything metallic at the moment so they're perfect for me. There is definitely an ugly shoe bug going around this season and ive well and truly caught it.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
