This week has been a good week! My best friend has been away working on a cruise ship around Hawaii & America for the past 6 months (I know, i'm jealous too!) and on Thursday she finally got home so i'm a very happy girl! I can't wait to see her and have a proper catch up over some cocktails. In other news, i've just come to the end of my second week of full time graduate employment and boy am I tired. I'm sure nothing can prepare you for the early mornings and late finishes, my life has definitely become wake up, work, eat, sleep. Luckily our dress code at work is pretty smart/casual so i've not had to buy too many 'work' clothes. Everything I already have is pretty suitable although of course there's plenty of room for more in my wardrobe. I do count my blessings that I no longer have to wear a uniform or a suit every single day. I'm still trying to get used to the whole working and blogging thing but I think im slowly getting there. This weekend I also learnt that the sun is the devil when it comes to outfit pics, so the quality is pretty bad here but I know for next time at least...

So, onto my outfit.. I wore this outfit to a christening last weekend, but paired the skirt with a white shirt instead, and someone said that I looked like a fairy in the clouds. Now i'm taking that as a compliment as this skirt really does make me feel like a little princess, and when I wear it I do just want to twirl around all day. It kind of makes you feel like a little girl again. It's definitely more girlie than i would usually wear, and I must admit it didn't look quite so bright online but I love it all the same. Those who know me would say I don't tend to wear many bright clothes but I think it's time I became more experimental anyway. I bought the skirt from Asos and they have the best range of midi skirts at the moment in so many different styles and colours, there's something to suit everyone. Slogan tops seem to be everywhere at the moment. This one from In Love With Fashion caught my eye; I think it was the metallic writing as it just jazz's it up a little but I was immediately sold. I had to have a hunt through my wardrobe to find the shoes and bag. I completely forgot I had these Zara shoes but they're so comfortable and perfect for this outfit so i'm glad I rediscovered them!

It's a shame we haven't had such nice weather this weekend as I had so much fun shooting my outfits last weekend and I was hoping for a little day trip but summers fast approaching so i'm sure there will be plenty of day trips to come!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
