Co-Ordinating Elephants

Jacket - Asos // Shorts - Asos // Shoes - River Island // Bag - Whistles

I am ashamed to admit that this is the first co-ord that i've bought! As soon as the trend came about, I knew I had to get one but never seemed to like a set enough to buy.. that is until I spotted this beauty on Asos. I've always been a huge Asos fan but recently I really think they've upped their game, and are fast becoming one of my absolute fave shops, knocking Topshop off the top spot. Anyone who knows me and my Topshop obsession will understand that this is A.BIG.DEAL! Anyway, back to the co-ord. This time last year I was having the time of my life travelling in South East Asia, and this print instantly took me back to my elephant obsessed time over there. I love the pom pom detail on the shorts, I think it gives them a little something extra. I've styled this co-ord very simply with my fave white River Island sandals and my Whistles clutch, which is surprisingly still spotless, I can't quite believe i've not ruined it yet! The thing I love most about co-ords is their versatility. I'll be wearing these shorts on holiday with a strappy top and sandals, and dressing the blazer up with a dress and heels- you can't go wrong with 3 outfits in one! Now i've finally bought my first co-ord there are of course another 18374832874 that I need so i'm sure you'll be seeing a lot more on here from now on.

Sporty Stripes

Duster coat - Asos // Top - Asos // Jeans - Topshop // Sliders - Nike (Via Schuh) // Bag - New Look

I think I have a serious duster coat problem. You may have seen my first duster related post about a month ago, you can find it here. I was so tempted by the white as well, but my practical side told me that i'm far too clumsy for a white coat. But when Asos kindly treated us to 20% off, I could resist no longer so here's the latest addition to my wardrobe. I opted for the Petite range this time, as I wanted it to be a little shorter, and I think it's the perfect length. This is another pretty casual outfit, but i've been feeling really casual recently so sorry about the lack of exciting posts. You may have seen this top in my last post, where I did a 'new in' style post. I love that it's quite sporty, and I do love a crop top. I think it pairs well with the Nike pool slides and the ripped jeans, and no sporty/casual look is complete without a rucksack at the moment, for me anyway. Anyway, i'm off to put the pastel blue Asos duster in my shopping basket.. it's finally back in stock...!

New In: Stripes, Stripes, Stripes

Top - Asos // Socks - Asos // Sliders - Nike (via Schuh)

Hello. I can't believe it's been so long! Time has been flying by and before I knew it it had been over a week since I last posted. I've been really busy with work and enjoying the nice weather, i'm praying that it stays like this all summer! It's just a short and sweet post today, and i'm trying out something new. I don't usually post 'new in' style posts, as I prefer to show you how i'm wearing all my new things, but an outfit post could not wait for these Nike pool slides. It's funny how not so long ago i'm sure most of us would never have dreamed of wearing 'ugly' shoes; cleated soles, chunky sandals, pool slides and mules are not typically attractive shoes. Yet here we are all building up our collections of all of the above. These sliders have been on my wish list for a while, and in true 'me' style, they went out of stock before I managed to press buy in my ever expanding Asos basket. Of course once I can't have something, it becomes a need so I managed to track down a pair in Schuh and ran straight out to get them. I seem to have become obsessed with stripes recently, and I also seem to be buying a LOT of monochrome, which im surprised about seeing as we've been having such nice weather and that usually means my wardrobe is being stocked up with plenty of pastels for summer. Look out for these sliders and top, which will be featured in my next post.

Festival Style Kimono

Kimono - H&M // Playsuit - H&M // Sliders - Dune // Bag - Topshop

This is the second kimono that I bought during my kimono spending spree week a couple of weeks back. Seeing as I styled the last one quite casually with jeans, I thought I would do more of a festival style with this one. The thing I like most about this kimono is that it has buttons on the front, so you can wear it undone or done up depending on your outfit/mood. The playsuit is an old one from H&M a couple of years ago, but it's my festival staple. The only problem with a playsuit at a festival is the toilet situation - a nightmare to get off quickly when you're in what can only be described as the most disgusting 'toilet' in the world. I wouldn't usually wear sliders to a festival; too much mud/rain/beer everywhere, so I usually opt for wellies, but you could wear either wellies or ankle boots with this outfit if the weather wasn't on your side. I haven't been to a festival for a couple of years, but i'm definitely going to try and get to Glastonbury next year- tickets are just so damn hard to get!

Fresh White Birkenstocks

Top - H&M // Jeans - Topshop // Birkenstocks Via Schuh // Bag - New Look // Sunglasses - Asos

There's something ever so satisfying about a new pair of shoes, made even more satisfying when they're this comfortable. Birkenstocks are without a doubt the most comfortable shoes I own, I would even go as far as saying they feel like walking on clouds. I genuinely never thought I would own a pair of Birkenstocks, a couple of years ago I wouldn't have been seen dead in them, but this year they have definitely made a comeback. As usual, I debated and debated, and bought far too many pairs of sliders so thought I couldn't buy another pair, but as soon as I slipped one on I knew I had to have them. I've paired them very simply with some mom jeans and a stripy top, and this backpack which I am also obsessed with at the moment. I'm sure these shoes are going to be my go-to shoe for quite some time!
