Beauty Top Picks

(L-R) Mac - Velvet Teddy, Laura Mercier Primer, Benefit High Beam, Maxfactor Masterpiece Mascara, Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclait, Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet Foundation, L'Oreal Falsh Lash Superstar Mascara, Tweezerman Tweezers, Lulu Guinness Make Up Bag

So here is a little peak inside my make up bag and the products I use every day to make my face seem slightly human. I mentioned before that i've not always been that big on make up and generally just used tinted moisturiser and a slick of whatever mascara was on offer in Boots. But more recently i've really started to get into make up and now spend a lot more money on it than I used to, my 15 year old self would be soOo proud. I'm definitely no expert but I have tried a variety of products at all price ranges and this is what i've found to work for me so far:

Base: Laura Mercier Primer-
Ahh the primer, how I ever got through life without a primer is beyond me, if I forget to apply it one day now i'm freaking out straight away that my make up is slowly sliding off my face. Having a 2 hour daily commute, primer is definitely a necessity for me now and I do find that my make up stays on much longer using it. I've tried a few including Benefits 'That Gal' and 'Porefessional' and also Smashbox but this Laura Mercier one works best for me. It's like a cream rather than a gel and I find it really gives me the staying power I need.

Foundation: Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet-
I've tried SO MANY foundations and this one is hands down the best i've used. I like my make up to look quite natural and this one is light enough so it doesn't look caked on and gives just the right amount of coverage for me.

Highlighter: Benefit High Beam-
Okay, so admittedly I don't use this every day but it's a staple product for me for a night out. It gives you such a nice glow, I usually apply it to my cheekbones and my brow bone for a little shimmer.

Concealer: Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclait-
This one is one for your dark circles, you can't use it as a normal concealer for your spots etc. but I find it really does reduce darkness under my eyes - something that reallllllly bothers me. It's not the cheapest but for me it's definitely worth the moneys.

Mascaras: L'Oreal False Lash Superstar & Maxfactor Masterpiece-
I've ALWAYS used the white base mascara that you get on those double ended ones. I don't know if it's just because i've always done it but I really don't find my mascara looks as good when I just use the black. I use the L'oreal white base coat, then the Maxfactor Masterpiece then another coat but with the black on the L'oreal. My mascara is such a strict regime lolsss but I really don't feel like it looks as good if I don't follow those 3 steps.

Tweezerman Tweezers-
The king of tweezers, don't think I need to say any more.

Lipstick - Mac Velvet Teddy-
Okay so I know everyone knows all about this one thanks to Miss Kylie Jenner but I find it's a nice natural shade for every day life. I also forgot to photo my lipliner whoops but for this lipstick I use Mac Boldly Bare and use it to line and fill my lips before applying the lipstick - serious staying power right thurrr.

So there you have my face in photos. I'm always looking for new products to try so if you have any recommendations or have found anything better please send them my way. If you like this kind of post, you can read about my skincare regime here.

Spring Fling

PHOTOS BY JENNIE MALONE

Top - Zara, Jeans - ASOS, Shoes - ASOS, Socks - ASOS

Hellooo and happy Sunday! I'm keeping the spring theme flowing today, no chance of any more big coats around here. I'm having a massive love affair with ruffles this season, you may have spotted them floating around A LOT on my Instagram. I also styled them up in a previous post here; they're definitely here to stay for spring/summer. I fell in love with this Zara top as soon as I saw it, though I tend to do that in Zara a lot! It's perfect for pairing with jeans now and a nice little skirt when the weather hots up. We also can't not talk about these dreamy 70s platforms!! They also come in a snake print and I had a hell of a job debating which to go for, though tbh I think i'll probably go back for the snake print ones too. There's nothing I hate more than an uncomfortable shoe, and the chunky platform means these are ready to help you dance the night away.

See ya soon.

Boohoo Embroidered Skirt

Top - Topshop, Denim Jacket - Zara, Skirt - Boohoo @ ASOS, Boots - Topshop

Alohaaaaa and happy Monday! Hope you all had a fabbb weekend, I spent mine doing what my bestie and I do best.. sleeping, eating & shooting! As the sun decided to make an appearance this weekend, I went into full spring mode and braved bare legs for this dreamy Boohoo a-line number. I bought it on ASOS a few weeks back but don't think it really works with tights so i've been waiting for the sun to peep his head out so I could post it on here. We spent Sunday mooching around Richmond, one of my life goals is to be able to afford to live there and went for a nice little brunch between shooting.

Safe to say after our little sunny spell i'm dying to get my shoulders and my summer wardrobe out for good!

Thanks for reading.

Ruffled

Coat - M&S (Old), Shirt - H&M (Instore), Jeans - Topshop, Boots - Topshop

Ohmygadddd an outfit with no ASOS!! Never thought i'd see this day seeing as I spend most days lugging new parcels back from the office. Dare I say I feel a little bit like everyones fave lady Alexa in this get-up. I spied this blouse in H&M and practically did a leap towards it, I love the little polka dots and the ruffle detail. My skinny jeans have been thrown to the back of my wardrobe in favour of the straight leg and cropped kick flare styles, today was the turn of the Topshop straight. Soz for the constant spam of the silver boots too, but they seriously are my faves.

I feel like my style is constantly changing at the moment, I can't really define it. Some days I wake up and end up dressing myself in the girliest outfits; other days i'm a real tomboy, sometimes I plan my outfits; sometimes I wake up and chuck the nearest clean shirt and jeans on and go. Do you have a signature style?
